Here’s one of my oldest son’s complaints – there must be a conspiracy concerning hot dogs and hot dog buns. For as long as I can remember my son always complained about hot dogs and buns. Not that he didn’t like them, it’s just there was never enough buns for the hot dogs.
A conspiracy he’s says.
See when you are on a fixed budget one tends to lean towards the least expensive. So I always bought the hot dogs that came ten to the pack, a bit more for my money.
Now you need buns, they only come eight to a package, no matter what brand. This now leaves you with two hot dogs left and no buns! Do the math. Even if you buy 2 of each it doesn’t work – 20 hot dogs, and 16 buns.
Okay, how about 3 packages of hot dogs, that’s 30, 4 buns 32 and you still have leftover buns!! The only way it works is if you buy 4, 10 count packs of hot dogs and 8 packs of buns but you can’t afford that many all at once so you are stuck!
You have no choice – either you buy the more expensive hot dogs that only come 8 to a package, or you have leftovers.
Perhaps my son is right, it is a conspiracy to get you to buy more!
What’s with that?
I agree it is a conspiracy. I believe the extra two hotdogs are there to share with your dog. Dogs do not care about the buns.
Maggieland,
Thanks for your comment and for visiting Venting Volcano. Sharing them with your dogs is a solution but, I figure they have enough of their own treats.
The other two hotdogs are to be eaten with Baked Beans – so you get some fiber in your diet!!
